Remembering the 2007 Spring Break Y-Trips
Jubilee Partners – Comer, Georgia

Hattie Larlham Center – Mantua, Ohio
EMU students joined the Hattie Larlham Center in enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families through commitment to comfort, joy and achievement. Be ready to assist in providing a variety of services with a unique community of people.
Mennonite Disaster Service – New Orleans, Louisiana
Participants to New Orleans worked with Mennonite Disaster Service , a ministry affiliated with Mennonite Church USA, that coordinates disaster relief and rebuilding efforts. There were simple accommodations but plenty of physical labor and time to get to know the stories of this hurricane devastated area (and Conservative Mennonites).
Camden, New Jersey
This trip focused on learning from area churches, organizations and communities such as The Simple Way and Camden House . Special attention and focus was given to issues of faith and poverty, especially in inner cities. In addition, participants lived in a church activity center, learned to use public transportation, and got to know Philadelphia.
