Tax Sessions:Filing US Income Tax Forms
All F-1 and J-1 visa holders are required to file a statement with the Internal Revenue Service Center each year you are present in the US. To assist F-1 and J-1 visa holders the International Student Service Office has arranged 3 tax sessions to help complete the appropreate forms with the IRS. - If you did not earn taxable income during the 2007 calendar year, you still need to complete the 8843 form. It will only take about 5 minutes to complete.
- If you earned income during the 2007 calendar year, you will need to complete a 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ form. The ISS office has purchased an online tax software program to assist with completing your taxes. This program will account for tax treaties and provide accurate results. There is a $5 charge to suppliment the cost of the software program.

I-20 or DS-2019
All W-2's, 1099's, 1098's, 1042-S's (if received)
Social Security card
Tax returns from 2006 (federal and state)

Monday, February 25 at 7 pm in LTC (library computer lab)
Wednesday, March 19 at 7 pm in LTC (library computer lab)
Thursday, April 3 at 7 pm in LTC (library computer lab)
