Remembering and Celebrating Dr. King

Each year we honor Martin Luther King Jr. during a university chapel service and several other special January events, all open to the public. Check out the schedule of events in 2011, listed below starting January 13th (Thursday)- January 17th

Thursday Coffee House in Common Grounds

A Coffee House with a panel of distinguished guests who will discuss MLK’s role in the context of the Kingdom of God. Part of the conversation will touch on the dialogue between the social vs. the religious Gospel. Snacks will be provided. 8-9:30pm

Friday chapel

MLK Day Chapel Speaker- Ron Copeland (Early Church Pastor; Our Community Place). Speaking on what’s MLK’s role as a servant of God. Worship- Nick Melaz and Gospel Choir

Sunday MLK Church Visitation with Gospel Choir

Monday Tribute

MLK Tribute. Display of pictures, video presentation & response wall. University Commons Corridor. 10-4pm.
