Pearl Hoover Hartman graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 1985 and completed a masters of divinity at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Ind. She is an ordained minister and has served Mennonite congregations in Newton, Kan., and Fairfax, Va. She has worked with the full spectrum of life from developing a daycare program for homeless children in Chicago, to teaching high school English at her alma mater, to working as a resident assistant at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. She is of the board of People Helping People, and chaired the planning committee for the Celebration of Lights fundraiser at VMRC. Pearl grew up in a large family that loved music. She has studied piano and sung in a variety of choirs. She enjoys being a worship leader at Park View Mennonite Church. She and her husband Dwight look forward to sharing the good classical music of the Bach Festival with family and friends.
