Frequently Asked Questions

How can I apply for Box Office services?

The Box Office seeks to provide quality ticket services for departmental programs. In order to best serve you, we require submission of the application form at least four weeks prior to the beginning date for ticket sales. Please send this completed form to the EMU Box Office or submit it via email to sarah.regan@emu.edu.

What are the box office hours?

The box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and 1:30pm -- 3:00pm. The box office will not be open if there are no events taking place. The box office is also closed when the university is closed. There are no weekend hours.

Where is the Box Office located?

In the University Commons on the first floor the first right as you enter the front doors. University Commons, Eastern Mennonite University, 1307 Park Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22802

How can I purchase tickets?

In order to purchase tickets please stop by the box office or call 540-432-4582 and speak with a box office staff member during regular box office hours. You can also purchase tickets online by returning to the box office homepage and following the appropriate ticket purchasing links found there. Online tickets are subject to a $2 per ticket processing fee. Online tickets are typically available until 2-3 hours prior to performances start times (there are occasional exceptions to this rule). After these respective deadlines, all tickets will need to be purchased at the door. All sales are final and while tickets may be exchanged for different dates or seats, there are no refunds.

How do I avoid the $2 per ticket fee?

Online tickets are subject to a $2 per ticket processing fee. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of the performance will also be subject to a $2 per ticket fee. Requiring the Customer to pay this fee helps the sponsoring EMU Department so that they don't have to pay the fee. To avoid this fee, please purchase tickets over the phone or in advance at the box office window. All sales are final and while tickets may be exchanged for different dates or seats, there are no refunds.

What if I get the voicemail when I call in?

If you receive the voicemail during office hours, our staff is working with another customer. Please leave a detailed message including name, event wanting tickets for, phone number during the day, how many tickets, and the performance date and time. Our staff will return your call as soon as possible. Please note leaving a message does not reserve your ticket, even if it is a complimentary ticket. If you call outside of office hours your call will be returned the next day.

Can I charge my tickets to my student/staff account?

The box office is not able to charge to accounts but does take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, cash and check.
