She has worked primarily in Los Angeles, California, and Johannesburg, South Africa. In the states, Jen worked with a local church plant in Los Angeles and with the internships department of Servant Partners, mentoring, teaching, pastoring, and training young adults in a practical and sustainable theology of urban ministry. In South Africa, Jen founded and directed a holistic health and fitness program for women in a township northwest of Johannesburg.
Jen is currently finishing her MA in Conflict Transformation at Eastern Mennonite University’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding. She is working on a thesis focused on the intersections of faith and activism for young South Africans today.
Jen is also currently contributing to a forthcoming book from Servant Partners Press on the stories and experiences of women of color in urban ministry
