City of Harrisonburg Hosts Public Information Session on Water Tank Project

Harrisonburg, VA – The City of Harrisonburg’s Department of Public Utilities will host a public information session for the upcoming water tank project.

In early November, the city announced that a preferred site for the new water tank had been identified and staff members continue planning this project.

On Tuesday, January 7, members of the community are invited to attend a public information session regarding the new Park View water tank project. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Park View Mennonite Church, 1600 College Avenue.

Background information and an overview of the project plans will be provided along with visual displays. City staff members along with the city’s consulting engineer will be in attendance to answer questions and serve as resources through this process.

After comments are received, the project will be presented to the Planning Commission and City Council before final approval of the project and financing is made.
