Public Radio Summit, Harrisonburg area
When Saturday March 8, 2014 @ 1:30 PM (tomorrow)
Duration 1 hour
WEMC was Virginia’s first public radio station. Now the public radio station is managed, in consultation with EMU, by James Madison University’s WMRA public radio station. The partnership allows for coordinated public radio programming for the region.
All station members, listeners, anyone in the community is invited to this summit, facilitated by Harrisonburg City Council member Kai Degner, on the role of public radio in our community. How can we as listeners and community members nurture this resource and get the most out of it?
Come to mingle with other public radio fans from up and down the Shenandoah Valley, share your ideas, get involved in long-term plans. The summit will begin at the Blue Nile Restaurant, 181 N Main Sreet, Harrisonburg, and spill over into Massanutten Regional Library across the street. If you are only able to come for part of the session, simply drop in and join in.
