Toni has taught in the MA in Education program for several years, where she has enjoyed both teaching and mentoring MA candidates as they work on their action research projects. She earned a Doctorate in Education from Liberty University, a M.T. from the University of Virginia, and a B.S. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her current research interests center on self-study and the modeling of co-teaching strategies for pre-service elementary teachers. Toni has also been involved in a NSF grant funded collaborative study with EMU faculty from the chemistry, biology, psychology and education departments, where she is working with a team of colleagues to assist in the development of several assessment tools for student learning. Before entering higher education Toni taught math and science at the upper elementary and middle school levels for 12 years. She currently resides in Montana, where she continues to teach on an adjunct basis, does academic editing, and enjoys her grandchildren.
