It is my desire to serve God by speaking the Gospel, serving in pastoral and congregational ministry, as well as my love for Women’s Ministry and taking the love of Christ to women of all denominations via Women’s Spiritual Renewal Services.
God has called me to vocational ministry late in life for which I am eternally grateful. Through prayer, the Holy Spirit and many Christian friends who recognized God’s call on my life, I was encouraged to answer the call by going to college and later to go on to seminary. There have been many ministers who have mentored me. My faith journey has been a long one, but the most exciting time of my life. My husband, family and the church have been extremely supportive and encouraging during these past seven years of seminary. I have a passion for the things of God, a love for God’s people, and a desire to serve. God is faithful and good all the time!
Ideal Ministry Situation
First Christian Church at this point, along with an evangelistic traveling ministry to women taking the love of Christ to women of all denominations and encouraging them to share their stories.
I have been amazed and grateful since I first entered EMS about the level of emphasis on spiritual growth, as well as the formation of the minister, integrated with scripture, faith and the world. I have cherished this time at EMS, of study and learning about God and our Lord Jesus Christ, about myself and ministry.
I have enjoyed all of my classes. I have been excited each time I walked into the classroom, anxious to learn what the professors were about to teach. I have been extremely blessed to have been at EMS. If I must mention a few, it would be Christian Tradition and Clinical Pastoral Education.
Advice for Prospective Students
If one is desirous of a seminary environment that is Spirit-led and where the professors offer a high-level of religious education, individual instruction and truly care about the seminarians, then EMS is the seminary for you!
