About the Therapist
Sarah Blake Alison has been practicing massage in Harrisonburg for four years. She graduated from The Shenandoah Valley School of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2010, and is both state and nationally certified. She is also a 2006 graduate of EMU. In addition to providing massage, she works at The Sole Source, a specialty shoe store in Harrisonburg, where she assists customers with finding shoes to help address foot, knee, hip and back pain.
Sarah currently specializes in Swedish massage, which uses fluid strokes to increase circulation and promote relaxation, Deep Tissue massage, which uses firm pressure on specific muscles to relieve chronic pain and rehabilitate injuries, and Myofascial Release, which addresses restrictions in connective tissue, restoring mobility and flexibility. She also provides chair massage, which is a fast and effective way to relieve tension in the neck, shoulders, head, arms and hands while the client remains fully clothed and is seated in a specially designed massage chair.
Sarah is available in the Weaver Wellness Suite on Wednesdays 9 am – 5 pm & Fridays 9 am – 6 pm.
