Kent Sensenig

Kent was born in 1970 to Mennonite missionary parents in Saigon, Vietnam, but mostly grew up as a Mennonite Central Committee “kid” in Akron, PA. He is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College (B.A. 1992) and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (M.A. 1998). He has also done doctoral studies in Christian Ethics at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Special areas of interest include historical Galilee/Jesus studies; Creation Care and Sabbath Economics; “just peacemaking” practices; the Abrahamic traditions; and the “Diggers” and “Levellers” of the 17th-century Puritan Revolution era. Kent has also invested 15 years of “sweat equity” in “CSA” organic vegetable gardening and 18 years as a Mennonite pastor’s husband.
