Brian Burkholder
Campus Pastor

Brian Martin Burkholder has served as Campus Pastor and Director of Campus Ministries since 2003. Raised in the United Methodist Church, he previously served as an elementary school teacher and school counselor as well as program director of Amigo Centre, Sturgis, MI. While studying at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Brian served as interim campus pastor at Goshen (IN) College. He is an experienced worship and music leader, enjoys leading and participating in retreats, thrives in chaplaincy related roles, gets a kick out of contra dancing, loves the out-of-doors, hiking in beautiful natural settings, gardening and almost anything to do with water.

Suzanne Hostetler
Program Assistant

Suzy Hostetler began as the Campus Ministry Program Assistant in August 2009. A native of Telford, Pennsylvania, she is a graduate of Bluffton University. She majored in Youth Ministry / Recreation with a minor in music. Prior to working at EMU, she worked as a part-time Youth Pastor at Bethel Mennonite Church in West Liberty, Ohio for 5 years.

Byron Peachey
Associate Campus Pastor

Byron Peachey, of Harrisonburg, has served as a Campus Pastor at EMU since 2002. He previously served four years as co-director of Mennonite Central Committee’s work in El Salvador. For 10 years, Peachey was involved in an inner-city mission congregation, Community of Hope in Washington, D.C., where he was a social worker and development director. He manages a small farm and attends Shalom Mennonite Church.
