Staff

Rachel Diener, director of the Early Learning Center, teaches the four-year old class and has been at the center since 1993. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Goshen (Ind.) College and a Virginia Collegiate Professional License.

Just prior to joining The Early Learning Center Wonshé was a preschool teacher and parenting educator in the Denver Metro area for four years. She is practiced in Emergent, Play-Based, Reggio Emilia, Research-Based, and Waldorf curricula, as well as Democratic Education and creative movement. She is experienced in the philosophy and founding principles of restorative justice, and is a trained mediator. Because of her wide-ranging experience she appreciates the need to balance the practical and nurturing skills necessary to care for children. She is ever inspired by the call for creativity that this requires.
