Staff

For the past eleven years, Bill Goldberg has worked in various capacities for the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding. He is currently the Co-Director of the Summer Peacebuilding Institute. Bill holds a Masters degree in conflict transformation from Eastern Mennonite University.

Working with the Summer Peacebuilding Institute since July of 2005, Valerie Helbert currently serves as Co-Director of the program. Previously at Eastern Mennonite University, she worked as Administrative Coordinator for the Conferences and Events office for five years, served as Program Director of Brethren Woods Camp & Retreat Center, and was Assistant Director of the Plains Area Daycare Center.
Ms Helbert earned a BA in History & Political Science from Bridgewater College and an M.A. in Conflict Transformation at the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University. She enjoys contra dancing, travel, and outdoor activities.

Prior to joining the staff of the Summer Peacebuilding Institute, Nathan Musselman spent 10 years in the Middle East. During that time he worked with a variety of NGOs, activist groups, institutions of higher education, and a bit in the for-profit sector. Other experiences have taken him to parts of Latin America, Europe, Africa, South and Southeast Asia.
Nathan has a BS in Justice, Peace, and Conflict Studies from EMU and an MA in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University.
