Ben Beachy graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 2002, after spending two years volunteering and providing technical support for non-profit organizations in southern Colorado. Since graduation he has worked for the university’s Information System department in various capacities. He is currently pursuing a masters degree in business administration and has helped his wife found Shenandoah Valley Community School, a non-profit alternative school in the pattern of the Sudbury Valley School. Beachy lives outside Harrisonburg with his wife and their various pets.
