Professor Emeritus/Lang & Lit
Dr. Landis, beloved by generations of students during a 51-year career, taught writing, speech, literature and other courses. His literature classes included modern poetry, modern drama and Shakespeare. His specialty was the literature of England, and he led several EMU cross-cultural terms in England. Landis’s courses were always popular, and he loved to welcome his former students to campus. He often remembered their names.
In retirement, Landis enjoys his wife Peggy, two children, three grandchildren, raising beautiful roses, attending Park View Mennonite Church, singing in the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society and volunteering at the Artisan’s Hope store.
