Laura Aponte

Laura Jakubowski Aponte was born near Philadelphia, PA. After living in Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, and Buffalo her family settled in Bethlehem, PA, where Laura attended Freedom High School. She met her husband, Edwin David Aponte at Gordon College and they were married and have a son, David Stanley Aponte who is in the MFA program at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
Laura has helped organize capital campaigns for the Allentown Art Museum, First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, and North Park University. She spent eight years at Southern Methodist University as an Information Systems Specialist in the School of Engineering.
Laura has recently moved with her husband to Lancaster where he is dean of Lancaster Theological Seminary and they enjoy discovering the wonders of Lancaster County and improving their ramshackle house.
