Marvin Lorenzana
Began service: May 2008
He is the new Director of the Multicultural Services Office at EMU. He is also Director of LEAP365; EMS’s year-long mentoring program for high school youth. Marvin was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras. In 1994, and after only two years of marriage, Marvin and wife Mariana, decided to become missionaries to the third country in the world with the largest Hispanic population after Mexico and Spain: the United States of America! Marvin has more than 15 years of pastoral experience as a youth pastor, church planter and senior pastor in different assignments in Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Marvin has a Masters of Divinity from EMS and is currently working on a BS in Management and Organizational Behavior from EMU’s ADCP program. The Lorenzana family loves family gatherings, sports events, the Greenville Book Fair, going to museums, reading, and, yes, having a good time among good friends!
