“My passion is for wisdom, for myself and to help others find holistic health and wisdom for themselves. My passion to grow in wisdom began as a young girl, overlooking the farm fields from my back yard and asking questions too big to language. Nature and solitude bring such reflection. I am still asking those questions and seeking deeper insight, but my passion also includes the nurture and development of people to honor their unique gifts and grow to their fullest potential. My favorite work is that of teaching and facilitating groups and providing individual spiritual direction. Concepts and theories are only of value if they can be applied to one’s life experience, because growth and change can only come from within. People’s hopes, dreams, work, and the realities that they must cope with in life are the grist that leads to the deeper questions of life’s purpose and truth. This journey leads to discover authenticity, freedom, trust, and seeing God’s love in all created things. My mission is to live life fully and consciously, savor life’s goodness, and help others find their own holistic health, inner peace, and freedom.”

Peg grew up in Manheim, Pa. She has been an RN for 38 years and holds a Masters of Science degree in Nursing with an interest in gerontology. Peg retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs after a combined 26 years of service at the Little Rock, Arkansas; Memphis, Tennessee; and Lebanon, Pennsylvania VA Medical Centers. Her career positions with the VA included Infection Control Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner in Extended Care, Associate Director of Nursing Service, Staff Development Specialist, Director of Medical Center Education, and Associate Director of Patient Care Services. Peg also earned a Masters of Art degree in Holistic Spirituality and Spiritual Direction and has had a private spiritual direction practice for 18 years. She teaches at Kairos School of Spiritual Formation in the Spiritual Direction Training Program. Merging both areas of wellness leads to her interest in Holistic Nursing. Peg is currently living in Lititz, Pa. She has two adult daughters, biological sisters who were adopted from South Korea as toddlers. Peg was widowed after 25 years of marriage; and after 11 years alone, she is happily remarried as of 2010.
