Two of Shenk’s books are “When kingdoms clash: Christians and ideologies” and “Who do you say that I am? Christians encounter other religions.” For eight years he has spent each spring semester in Jerusalem as a research scholar at Tantur Ecumenical Institute. His focus is Jewish-Christian relations. He also lived in Ethiopia for 14 years, teaching theology courses at Meserete Kristos College and Church Leader Seminars. He has written a number of articles related to Ethiopia and the Middle East. His hobbies are reading, and exploring the biblical, geographical and cultural history of Israel/ Palestine.
