Andrea Wenger
Director
Andrea Schrock Wenger graduated from EMU in 1986 with a bachelor of arts in English and a minor in journalism. She was privileged to participate in one of EMU’s first cross-cultural semesters in the Middle East in 1984.
Andrea worked for the international aid and development organization, Mennonite Central Committee, for the next 13 years, first in Akron, Pa., and then in Whitesburg, Ky., as program coordinator. In Akron, her responsibilities for MCC included writer/editor in the communications department, and assistant director of young adult programs. The roles afforded opportunity to visit MCC programming in Europe, southern Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, Canada and across the United States.
From 2000 to 2003 Andrea was content manager for EMU’s website. She then worked as a planning analyst for Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg in strategic planning and new business development. She returned to EMU in 2006 as marketing/communications director, where she gives oversight to a team of eight staff members who tell the story of EMU.
