Welcome from CAC!
The Campus Activities Council (CAC) works hard year-round to build relationships within the campus community, as well as provide creative and positive entertainment that engages the entire campus and student body.
Activities are based on good stewardship principles, and are developed and implemented with much care and consideration of the students’ time and money.
Staff Advisors
Faculty and staff advisors from the student life division are Rachel Roth Sawatzky , director of student programs, and Phil Tieszen, assistant director of student programs.
Events
Recreation and Social events scheduled for the Fall of 2013 include: Glow Dance, Residence Life Olympics, Late Night in the Commons, Adventure Day, Quad Kickball: The Glow Edition, Barn Dance, Tailgate, Spooky Soirée (Halloween Party), Amazing Race, Powder Puff, Pancake Day, Winter Dance, Study Break.
To check on upcoming films CLICK HERE. Films are generally shown on the weekends in the Suter Science Center (Room 106). The price of admission is $1.50 for EMU students/faculty/staff and $2.50 for community members, with children under 6 free. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks are also available for a very small price.
Throughout the year, CAC also partners with various student groups and organizations across campus to sponsor events and promotions. For example, half-off nights in Common Grounds coffee shop and $1 commuter lunches on certain Fridays.
