Community Learning
*First Year Seminar, included in the Interdisciplinary Foundation, is a CL course.
**Students should have at least one of these courses in their major.
Community Learning (CL) courses include an emphasis on involvement within the surrounding community, and each of these courses requires at least 15 hours in a community setting. The community learning office connects students with service opportunities in the community.
Three CL courses are required before graduation. Students are advised to space these experiences out during their time at EMU. Reflection throughout the semester on the community/service experience is the key to learning in these courses. The following courses have been approved as CL courses:
