My favorite campus activity:

I love to go to the CAC movies that are on campus. They only cost a dollar fifty and it is nice to not have to find a ride to get there. It is fun to go with a group of friends and just chill for the evening. I also love the chapel time on Wednesday’s because it is in a worship format and we sing more songs and it is a nice stress reliever in the middle of the week. I also like to go to chapel on Friday’s because of Friday announcements. They always make me laugh and they also let me know what is going on around campus for the weekend and the next week.

My favorite class at EMU (and why):

My favorite class this fall is a tie. I actually like my colloquium class Passions and Obsessions. We have been discussing what those words mean and what/if there is a difference and if there is where the line is. The professors are very energetic and it is always fun to go and listen to them. I also like my Social Psychology class. In this class also the professor is amazing. She loves what she teaches and it is obvious that she wants us to have a passion about it as well. The projects in this class so far have been fun and apply to the class very well. I am looking forward to the rest of the semester for both of these classes.

My favorite reason to get off campus:

The second Saturday of every month is Contra Dancing at Dayton Learning Center about 15 minutes away from campus. It is a nice time to have fun with other students that you do not connect with on a normal basis. I also love the church that I have been attending for a while now. It is Zion Mennonite Church it is about 15 minutes away and there are about 4 friends that I ride with every Sunday to go out there. It is a very loving and welcoming church. I have gotten involved in worship a few times by helping with skits last minute and have really enjoyed the feeling of home when I attend there.

My favorite EMU memory so far:

Wow, I do not think that there is any way that I can narrow it down to one favorite memory. There are so many good memories wrapped up in the dorm, chapel, classes, and even the main lawn that I do not think that I can choose one that is a favorite. One that sticks out is when my friends and I played jacks in the dorm during finals last year. It was so nice to just take a break from studying we were all laughing so hard because of various things that were said. Another good memory that sticks out is when some friends and I had crawling races down the hallway of Northlawn. It was so much fun, but we all forgot how hard it was to crawl on all fours really fast. Well this could go on forever so I will just leave it there for now and you can always ask me about some other memories if you would like to know more!

My favorite residence hall:

I would have to say my favorite residence hall is Northlawn. This is my second year living in there and I would have to say I like it. The nice thing is that we can control our temperature. We have air conditioning that is really nice! I love how there are so many people in one building. I have friends in the woods and I like to go down there to visit but I really enjoy hanging out in my room as well. Though the rooms are small the cafeteria being just down the steps more than makes up for it. We get to stay dry and warm when the rain and snow hit. I love my dorm!
