My cross cultural experience:

I have not yet gone on my cross cultural experience, but will hopefully be traveling to India the spring of my Junior year. I will say the Cross Cultural experience that is offered at EMU really tipped the scale when making my decision to come here. It says a lot when a university puts such an emphasis on helping it’s students REALLY experience the world.

My favorite residence hall:

And the award goes to….....NORTHLAWN! (if you’re a girl). It’s directly above the dining hall…need I say more? Really though, its clean, air conditioned, close to almost everything, and there are always great activities happening :)

My favorite class at EMU (and why):

Any class taught by Vern Jantzi…you wont’ be dissappointed, and if you are, he would probably offer a refund.

The most surprising thing about EMU:

EMU really isn’t a bunch of mennonites sitting around reassuring themselves that they have the right idea. Coming from a public high school and non-mennonite background I was a little hesitant before coming that I wouldn’t be able to find my place here at EMU. My experience here has proved my original assumptions very wrong. EMU is such a diverse campus, and because it is a smaller university I have had more opportunity to personally experience that diversity on an individual level.

My favorite intramural season:

That would have to be Intramural Flag Football…B League…Team Titans…Champs! You should come and give us a challenge next season!

My favorite reason to get off campus:

GREAT Greek Food + Great Music + Great Company = Dave’s Taverna in downtown Harrisonburg. THE BEST FOOD EVER!
