Why I came to EMU

The location was a big factor, and I found the campus to be community-oriented and a place where I felt comfortable. The cross-cultural program was another big attraction.

Favorite thing to do in Harrisonburg

I love sampling the delicious international cuisine at places like Dave’s Taverna (Greek), The Blue Nile (Ethiopian), Taste of Thai, the Saigon Café (Vietnamese), and Jalisco’s (Mexican).

Favorite thing to do in the Shenandoah Valley

Road biking, without question. While the rolling terrain makes the ride more difficult, getting out in the country and enjoying the beautiful scenery is something I would never trade.

Favorite EMU Memory

Winning the fall floor hockey intramural championship game senior year!

What some of my EMU friends are up to at the moment

Teaching elementary and high school in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County school systems, working as a recruiter at Rosetta Stone, business coordinator for O Magazine, pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at U. of Illinois, pursing Master’s degrees in music performance at Arizona State and U. of Maryland, counseling mentally handicapped individuals.

Is there anything else you should know about me?

I write left-handed but play sports right-handed.
