Why I came to EMU
I liked the community feel and the liberal arts focus, and I wanted to go somewhere that was competitive both in academics and athletics.
My favorite EMU memory
Cheering on the Running Royals men’s basketball team as they made it to the national tournament my senior year. Cross-cultural to the Middle East and a semester in Washington D.C. were also two of my favorite experiences!
Favorite thing to do in Harrisonburg
Hanging out downtown, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, relaxing at coffee shops.
Favorite thing to do in the Shenandoah Valley
Going running, driving through the beautiful countryside, visiting cool nearby towns and cities like Staunton, Lexington and Charlottesville.
What some of my EMU friends are up to at the moment
Working at Rosetta Stone, teaching in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, attending Harvard Law School, researching invasive species in Hawaii, working as a nurse at University of Virginia Hospital, serving in Mennonite Voluntary Service and the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience.
Anything else you should know about me?
My birth name was Muthlalepula because I was born in Botswana, Africa. I have a passion for restorative justice and I have a huge sweet tooth!
