With yet another winter storm forecasted for this weekend, Eastern Mennonite University has postponed the men's basketball game against No. 7 Virginia Wesleyan. The matchup of the two nationally ranked teams, originally slated for Saturday in Harrisonburg, has been moved to Monday, Feb. 15, at 7:00pm. (Feb 4) [More]
In their previous two Old Dominion Athletic Conference games, Eastern Mennonite shot a combined 11-60 from three point range. Not surprisingly, the Runnin Royals lost both those games on the road. Wednesday, EMU returned home and drained 11 treys in just 21 attempts and smoked visiting Lynchburg, 85-67, tying the school record for wins in a season in the process. (Feb 3) [More] [Box Score]
Even though Eastern Mennonite avenged its first loss of the season, the Runnin Royals also lost their last two Old Dominion Athletic Conference games and it cost them in the national poll. After hitting No. 7 two weeks ago, EMU slid down to No. 16 in this week's D3hoops.com national poll. (Feb 2) [More] [Top 25 List]
