Eastern Mennonite University has announced the resignation of cross country and track & field coach, Matt Dougherty, effective at the end of May. Dougherty was hired last summer as EMU's first combined head coach of the two sports, but he and his wife/assistant coach, Mary, are resigning with plans to move closer to their families. The Eastern Mennonite women's cross country team ran at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships Saturday at Mowles Spring Park in Salem, Va. The Eastern Mennonite women's cross country team made a cold and rainy visit to Gettysburg, Pa., Saturday for the Gettysburg Cross Country Invitational. Despite morning temps around 35 degrees, falling rain and standing mud and water, the Lady Royals continued to improve on their season's times and finished 21st as a team. (Oct 18) [More] [Results]
Eastern Mennonite hosted the Royals Invitational Saturday, Oct. 3, at Burtner Farms in Penn Laird. Although the running surface was grassy, the course itself was a challenging, hilly six kilometers.
