About our program

The Practice Institute is the practice arm of the academically renowned Center for Justice and Peacebuilding (CJP) of EMU. We seek to build healthy communities and a safer world by providing (both locally and globally) hands-on work and training in the areas of:

• Trauma Healing
• Peacebuilding
• Restorative Justice
• Violence Prevention
• Conflict Transformation
• Organizational Development
• Multicultural Awareness

The Practice Institute offers training and consultation services to individuals and groups. The following are examples of groups that utilize services of the Practice Institute:

• Congregations and parishes

• Community groups and organizations
