During the summer months, when most of the students are gone, the campus is made available to a variety of groups and special events. Ideal Location
EMU is situated in the heart of the scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, at the edge of Harrisonburg, a vibrant and growing city of 35,000. The campus is within easy driving distance of many local attractions, including Shenandoah National Park and its famous Skyline Drive. In addition to providing on-campus clients with facilities and services, our office promotes and facilitates the use of campus year-round by external groups whose purposes are in harmony with EMU's mission. Additionally, we promote university-owned apartments, guest house services, ticketed events and information office services. We are committed to providing:

- efficient coordination of food service, lodging and scheduling of facilities for external groups.
- on-campus lodging for summer conferences and events sponsored by EMU departments.
- clear documentation addressing the rights, obligations and financial arrangements for groups.

- efficient coordination of reserving, leasing and performing general maintenance for university-owned apartments.
