Salzburg

My favorite part of Salzburg was the castle, Festung Hohensalzburg. The views from the tower and walk were breathtaking despite the falling snow. I felt as if I was intruding into one of my beloved Medieval romance novels. I could picture myself in a flowing gown walking along the narrow walkways, awaiting my prince's return. The feeling was almost magical. Oh how I wish I lived during those days. Our day in Salzburg was quite long (and tiring since we climbed the mountain to the castle) so I was grateful when our train arrived back in Vienna. I will also be grateful for my bed in a few short minutes because I am sure the morning will be here before I know it!
