Immunizations for India Cross Cultural
The following immunizations are recommended by the CDC for travel to India in the locations and times the EMU cross cultural trip will be in the country. Immunizations schedules are listed so you can complete your series prior to departure.

Hepatitis A - two doses given 6 months apart.

Hepatitis B - three doses one month between the first and second dose and the third dose 6 months from the first dose
OR
Twinrix - Hepatitis A /Hepatitis B combination, which is given in three doses on the same schedule as Hepatitis B) -
Typhoid - oral or injectable one time dose (oral lasts 5 years and injectable 2 years) should complete at least two weeks prior to travel.

Polio - a one time booster injection for travel to endemic areas.

Anti-malarial prescription (atovaquone/proguanil, doxycycline, or mefloquine)

Adult vaccines of Tetanus or Tetatnus with Pertussis (recommend an update if over 5 years since last vaccine), MMR, Chicken pox, etc. should also be up to date.
