Arrival
The EMU cross-cultural office received this communication from Doug Hertzler, leader of the Guatemala/Bolivia group:
Dear Parents and friends: We arrived safely and with a great deal of excitement and energy at the CASAS compound in Guatemala City about one hour ago.
The flights were uneventful, except that check-in at Dulles took two hours due to computer problems with the airline.
Students will spend the night here in the very nice dormitories, prior to orientation tomorrow and they will leave with their language families tomorrow afternoon. They will be back here at CASAS on Saturday for additional orientation activities and a city tour.
Thanks for all your prayers and the great send-off at EMU.
