The Top 10 things I learned my first semester at EMU

January 23, 2006

Wow, so I will start off with giving a great big sorry for not keeping up with my journal enteries. I really do not have a good excuse so I will just say sorry and that I will aim to be better this semeter. After reflecting on my first semester at EMU as a freshmen, I along with my awesome roommate Beth have come up with a top ten list for next years freshmen ( which hopefully will be you) of things we learned and will hopefully help you in your first semester.

10. It pays to be an athlete cause you get unlimted transfer meals ( believe me you will want them).
9. Instant messanger, itunes and facebook will affect your GPA.
8. When taking a foreign language do attend your conversation meetings unless you want to do three hours a day the last week of school to make up for it.
7. Wear flip flops to shower unless you really want a foot disease.
6. Early to bed in the dorms is 12:00 am.
5. The school network will become you new best friend...... it holds any show and movie you could ask for.
4. Making a lofted bed will take you a good 20 minutes.
3. Ear plugs are a neccesity.
2. Yes, your room is big enough to fit a 5 ft Christmas tree.
1. Do not wait till the night before to write a 12 page paper that is 65% of your grade unless you enjoy writing under pressure, being sick off of coffee and want to be called crazy by friends.

be you
