Department of Mathematical Sciences
POSITION: One- or two-year undergraduate faculty position in mathematics. Rank commensurate with education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education preferred; master's degree required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Eastern Mennonite University invites applicants for a one-year position in mathematics (with potential for second year). Responsibilities include teaching 21-24 semester hours (24 SH full-time) and participating in departmental and university activities and meetings. Courses taught could include calculus, statistics, college algebra, liberal arts mathematics, or upper-level classes depending on candidate interest.
POSITION DETAILS: Position begins Fall 2012. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
COMPENSATION: Nine-month contract. Salary determined by education and experience. For continuing faculty, Eastern Mennonite University uses an extended contract system.
