POSITION: Head Baseball Coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree required or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience that equates to a degree.
Experience: Minimum of successful high school coaching required. Collegiate coaching preferred.
Special Skills:
- Recruitment of student athletes
- Relational skills with college students
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to teach fundamental and advanced baseball skills
RESPONSIBILITIES: The head baseball coach is responsible to coach, direct, recruit and administer the baseball program and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. He/she must be committed to the values and mission of the university and direct the program in adherence to the rules and regulations of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and Division III of the NCAA.
POSITION DETAILS: This is a half-time position with the possibility of additional duties creating a three quarter time position with benefits. Start date is flexible between September 1 and January 1.
