About the LEAP365 Mentoring Program:
The LEAP365 Mentoring Program is sponsored by Eastern Mennonite Seminary and other partnering agencies. The main purpose of the program is to:
- Encourage youth to consider leadership vocations in the church.
- Encourage and equip high school youth of the Mennonite Church (and others) for a life of public witness, committed service and bold peacemaking.
- Encourage, motivate and equip youth leaders to be effective in ministry within church and society.
- Foster global awareness, cultural sensitivity, missional vision and Christian commitment to public engagement.
LEAP365 will select only 15 participants to be part of an intentional mentoring program for a full year. The following criterion is used in our selection of participants:
- Participants most be either in 10th or 11th school grade.
- Participants MUST be currently involved in some type of ministry within his/her home congregation.
- A mentor (preferably from within the congregation) needs to be suggested by participant and needs to be approved by both parents and local pastor.
- Participant must be willing to commit to this program and all activities involved in it for one full year.
How do students get involved?
- To apply participants must fill out the application and send in the $150 dollar application fee
- Pastors need to fill out the nomination form.
