Research Databases

Research databases index articles, book chapters, government information, and other types of reference information. Some databases provide full-text online, but most only provide a citation and require you to check the Holdings List (for Periodical Titles), the A to Z list of periodical titles held electronically, or Sadie. Use Interlibrary Loan for items not found in Sadie.

Most resources are available off campus through a proxy server. You will be asked to login to the proxy server using your Royal username and password. If you are an EMU student who does not have a Novell login call the Reference Desk (540) 432-4185.
