Record Scholarships for SPI Attendees

Participants in the “Research: Qualitative Evaluation” class, taught by Terry Jantzi in session four of the 2006 Summer Peacebuilding Institute.
Donors to CJP made it possible for 35 of SPI’s applicants to participate in the 2006 session.
A total of $50,689 was given out in financial aid – a record amount, representing 12% increase over 2005 – thanks to private contributions to CJP.
Yet the need for financial assistance remained great (65 accepted people did not come due to inadequate funds).
At a donor-appreciation dinner, a scholarship recipient said:
“By your assistance, you have added one more peacebuilder to the peace process in the whole world … I thank you, and I hope you keep supporting this program.”
