SUMMER REGISTRATION 2007-08
Undergraduate Summer School at EMU is composed of two 3-week terms which allow students to focus on one course at a time. Small classes provide an excellent context for interaction and discussion. Summer School at EMU is affordable and provides an excellent opportunity for a unique learning experience. For more information contact the Undergraduate Academic Dean's Office at 540-432-4141.

NEW TO EMU?
Graduation from an accredited high school is required for admission to EMU. However, upper-level high school students, upon recommendation of their principal, are encouraged to enroll for summer school by completing the registration form and returning it to the Registrar's Office. A student attending EMU for the first time who expects to continue toward a degree is required to file a complete application available at the Admissions Office. Enrollment in summer school does not constitute admission to a degree program.
HOW TO REGISTER!
Students who are enrolled during the 2007-08 spring semester at EMU should register during the week of March 17-21 by completing the registration form and handing it in at the Registrar's Office. Student accounts must be current. Other students should call the Registrar's Office at 540-432-4110 to arrange a time to come to the office to register. Students may also register by printing a hard copy of the Summer School registration form and mailing the completed form to the Registrar's Office. Students are encouraged to register as early as possible, since all course offerings are dependent on sufficient enrollment.
EXPECTATIONS...
The lifestyle and academic standards of the regular session apply also to the summer session. See the EMU Undergraduate Catalog and Student Handbook for full information on standards and regulations.

Further, the course enrollments must be in classes offered to meet requirements of a regular degree program and the student must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis during the most recent spring semester. Students must complete a FAFSA for the current academic year. Non-federal “alternative loans” are available for all students. Eligibility for Federal Work-Study is contingent upon demonstrated financial need. For more information, contact the Financial Assistance Office at (540) 432-4137.

Housing is provided only for the term(s) a student is enrolled or for the duration of their full-time work study employment. No students will be housed after mid- August. Room charges are $10.00 per day (based on double occupancy) which will be billed to the student’s account. Students are responsible for their own meals, as the dining hall is not open on a regular basis during the summer.
