EMU responds to Bluffton tragedy
A bus accident in Atlanta, Ga., in the early morning hours of Friday, March 2 resulted in the deaths of four Bluffton University baseball team players, as well as the driver and his wife. The event has reverberated across Mennonite Church USA and particularly Bluffton’s sister universities; EMU is one of those. The EMU community was perhaps also uniquely touched because Bluffton’s team had been scheduled to play EMU the next day in Sarasota, Fla.
The EMU community has watched the unfolding news coverage with interest and many prayers. Here are some links to events and information happening in Ohio, Florida, Atlanta, and Harrisonburg, Va., related to the crash.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Bluffton community during this time.
See Mennonite Education Association website for coverage of events by all Mennonite Church USA-affiliated colleges and universities.

It's at such times, as puzzling, seemingly unfair and devastating as they are, that human beings have opportunity to exhibit their full potential.
