Degree Programs at Eastern Mennonite Seminary

Master of Divinity

Our master of divinity degree is designed for those interested in broad training for a variety of ministry settings. It offers four tracks so students may choose courses based on their specific call to ministry. The pastoral ministry track provides a broad basis for ministry in a congregational setting. The church and community mission track is aimed toward those who know that their call to ministry is to share the gospel in diverse contexts. The academic track is for those students who feel called to lead the church in teaching, writing and on-going scholarship. The specialized ministry track is for those students who feel called to a specific ministry such as chaplaincy or spiritual direction. In addition to course work the master of divinity gives students an opportunity to practice supervised field education through our mentored ministry program. Learn more about the MDiv.
