Seminary Announces Evening Courses
HARRISONBURG, Va. - Want to learn more about spiritual guidance, evangelism, peacemaking or church music? Eastern Mennonite Seminary is offering evening classes on these topics this fall.
- Wendy J. Miller, assistant professor of spiritual formation, will lead a "Spiritual Direction Seminar and Practicum" 6:30-9:10 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 5-Dec. 12.
- N. Gerald Shenk, professor of church and society, will teach "Biblical
Foundations of Peacemaking" 6:30-9:10 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 5-Dec. 12.
- Lawrence M. Yoder, professor of missiology, will teach "Evangelism as
Initial Spiritual Guidance," 6:30-9:10 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 6-Dec. 13.
- Kenneth J. Nafziger, professor of music, will teach "Song of the
Christian Church" Wednesdays, Sept. 6-Dec 13.
In addition, the seminary will offer three on-line courses during fall
semester:

Mauricio Chenlo, youth pastor, "Mentoring Youth into Life."
- Dorothy Jean Weaver, professor of New Testament, "New Testament:
Text in Context" and
- Wendy J. Miller, professor of spiritual formation, "Prayer in the
Christian Tradition."
These courses can be taken for academic credit or on an audit basis. Registration ends Aug. 29.
