What is Y-LEAD?
Y-LEAD is a 3 ½ day Christian leadership event for Mennonite youth serving as leaders in their churches or schools, for youth who exhibit leadership potential and for youth pastors and sponsors.
Y-LEAD's purpose is to educate, empower and enable youth to be servant leaders and to resource sponsors as they lead youth. The components of the program include worship, seminars, small group interaction, networking and fellowship. Begun in 1994 as a Christian leadership event for Mennonite youth leaders and their sponsors and pastors, Y-LEAD is held every other year at a Mennonite university or college.
EMU will host the event July 27-30, 2006. For more information, contact Jill Landis, jill.landis@emu.edu, 540.432.4699 or Paul Leaman, leamanp@emhs.net
